Welcome to the CCRG Rollback:
Your ticket to a trip back in time with the Classic City Rollergirls.
Founded in 2006, The Classic City Rollergirls (CCRG) is Athens, Georgia's first and only women's flat track roller derby league. CCRG started as a small group of women (and a few men) who had a big idea. Together, they built up a league through hosting grassroots fundraisers while learning how to skate in rink rentals. In 2007, they began planning for their first bout. Twelve years later, the women-owned league is an Athens staple, an active partner with many community non-profits, and a WFTDA Division 3 league.
Explore the history of the league or browse the archives' collections of ephemera and photographs. Listen to CCRG skaters, referees and volunteers share their personal experiences through oral history.
You can also search the archives using any term. For example, try searching by a date, skater, team, or event.
